Check out 8 farms in one day at the Barrington Farm Day on Sunday, June 27th from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.  Bring the whole family and build your connection to how food is grown and learn how farmers are living sustainabily and growing healthy food for the Seacoast community.  Farms include Warren Farm, Sallie’s Fen Aplacas, Yellow House Farm, Nippo Brok Farm, Castle Anam Cara (the Castle), Profile Alpacas, Lasting Legacy Farm, and Spring Harvest Maple Farm.

In one day you can pick your own vegetables, berries and flowers, meet some heritage chickens and turkeys, see some grass-fed cattle, tour a maple syrup house, check out an eco-friendly farm and meet some alpacas (relatives of the camel) and learn how their fiber is spun into yarn. For more details check out the Seacoast Eat Local blog.

  1. I just found your website… I wish I knew about about this farm day earlier…. Are there any more of these in this area coming up?

    Thanks!

  2. Hi there. Check out the Seacoast Eat Local web site (www.seacoasteatlocal.org) or their blog at http://blog.seacoasteatlocal.org/ for upcoming events. You can also sign up for their newsletter. Most farms welcome visitors – so check out the Seacoast Harvest Guide for a list of all the farmers in the area. (www.seacoastharvest.org) Some ask that you call ahead. Good luck and I’ll make sure to post any other upcoming farm days.
